6 Week Mark

Hey everyone. I only have about five minutes, but I have FINALLY made it out to the mission field after a few complications. I have the sweetest companion and life is wonderful. The work of the Lord is moving on in miraculious ways!

Well tonight is THE NIGHT. I'm pretty freakin anxious and I'd be a lier if I said that I wasn't. I just want to thank everyone for their support, I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it without you guys.

Cemetary nonsense

So I've been in Provo for three days. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the place, but I better get use to it because I'm not going anywhere fast! Haha! The drive here couldn't have been any longer. And of course, I can't ever stay awake in the car so I slept the whole time and wasn't able to sleep that night. *laughs* I'm pretty cold here already. So I've been bundled up. Hopefully I'll get use to it fast. Yesterday we went to a cemetary where my mom's family is buried. I get creeped out by cemetaries and I wasn't a fan prancing about the dead. But it was nice to be outside. We also went and visited extended family that lives close by. I don't really know them well but it was nice to visit none the less. Tonight we're having a big dinner at my favorite Olive Garden. I'm most excited to see my Stephanie and Robin. Other than that, I could care less who else was there. *laughs* Tomorrow we're going to SLC and visiting Temple Square. That'll be a nice visit, seeing as I use to live five feet away from the Temple. No lie. Then Wednesday is the day! I'll be entering the MTC. I'm trying not to think about it too much, because then I get pretty anxious about it. So I'm reserving Tuesday evening to worry. *laughs* I think it's a good plan.

Well I'm trying hard not to miss everyone too much, and its not working wonderfully, but I guess it's because I love and miss you all!!!

I hope they send me on a mission...

So, I've officially been set apart as a missionary as of 8 o'clock last night. It's definately a weird feeling! Blake is absolutely amazing and he showed up in just the nick of time! It was truly an amazing surprise. I couldn't've asked for anything better! I got in one last good hug before I was set apart and then a good handshake at the end of the night. *laughs* It was great though. After I was set apart, my family, Blake and I went to get icecream to celebrate--I made a big mess as always, and embarrassed my poor mother with my loud belching. Some things never change!!! Haha!

I'm just about to hit the road to Provo, but I just wanted to write everyone one last quick time before I leave. I probably won't have access to a computer for a month or so...So feel free to write me letters, I love getting them, and I love writing them :)

It's the Final Countdown!

*insert terrible 80s music here*

Well, I'm officially counting down the time till I leave. I didn't realize how fast the time has flown! Tomorrow night I'll be set apart as a missionary and on Saturday morning I'll be off to Provo! Ahh! I'm quite anxious when I sit down and think about it; but it's a new adventure!

I'm secretely wishing I'll get a phone call from Blake saying he's home early. *laughs* Ah! I miss him so much!

I guess I've put off packing my room up long enough!

My first entry

So, I'm getting ready to go on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I pretty much needed a place to post all the pictures that I plan on taking while I'm out on my many adventures. I'm getting ready to leave, and I'm getting pretty anxious; but I am positive I'm doing the right thing.
